This transformative event was inspired by the Motown & Hurricane Relief Benefit, hosted in December 2024 by the WE Empower Business Network, led by Marya Flurnoy. The benefit raised funds to support displaced families, and from that initiative, WE Empower member Christine Walker launched Helpful Healing. Together, with a team of dedicated volunteers, they have designed a powerful retreat to help survivors regain strength, balance, and a sense of community.
“You are not a victim—you are victorious,” said Marya Flurnoy. “This retreat is about empowering those affected, giving them space to heal, and reminding them they are not alone.”
A Day of Healing and Connection
Attendees will have access to a wide range of individual and group healing sessions, including:
Individual Healing Sessions: Massage therapy, Reiki, chiropractic adjustments, and fitness coaching
Group Energy Healing & Movement: Guided visualizations, meditation, breathwork, yoga, EFT healing, dance movement, and a Sound Healing Extravaganza
Nourishment & Community: A light breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with yoga mats for attendees’ comfort
